About the College
MyScienceKid College is a Grade R to 12 private school that specializes in Mathematics and Science. The school is located in the Northwest Province in Mooinooi, Marikana. The school was established in 2013 and is female owned by Zandile Vanto, who comes with a strong Science background as a Metallurgical Engineer in the Mining Sector.
MyScienceKid College started as a Primary School with 12 learners and grew to High School with the current number of 363 learners. Our sustainability is achieved not only by growth in numbers but through systems and programs that support our curriculum.
At MyScienceKid College we believe that being competitive in the labor market starts with education, with our specialty being in Mathematics and Physical Science. Beyond our specialty, we believe in starting it Mathematics Early as a language.
Alongside the CAPS Curriculm, we implementing programs mentioned below in 1.2 and 1.3 that promotes innovation to our learners, which is our competitive advantage in the education sector that we are operating in.
About the Founder
Zandile Vanto is a founder of MyScienceKid College, as well as the Author of Reading Made Simple for Foundation Phase and Everyday life Mathematics (check her books in our Library). She studied Bachelor of Technology (Chemical Engineering), Bachelor of Technology (Quality Assurance) and MBA in International Trade and Project Finance.
About the Principal
Lydia Lelia is the Principal at MyscienceKid College. BED in Secondary School education.: Major-English Home Language and Business studies.( University of Free State) Diploma in Primary school education – Foundation phase (University of Free State) Assessor – Team Impact Moderator -Team impact Child Psychology – IQ Academy Experience:26 years teaching experience. (10 years as a PL2 teacher and 16 years as a Principal) 5 years as an English Home Language paper 2 marker. Achievements. 100% Matric pass percentage from 2021 to 2024 95% in 2025
